Comp. Speakers March 8, 2010 Craig H. Scott (Albany NY) Some people have dissed these speakers, "They sound like 30$ speakers". Yes they do but these were for work where I can't be too loud anyway. I am very happy with them and would suggest to a friend. I bet they would sound GREAT with a subwoofer!
Really like these June 5, 2010 Robert Putnam (Chicago, IL United States) Bought them about a month ago. They're really decent speakers, especially considering the price. I'd recommend them to anyone and I'd buy them again if ever I needed new speakers. Definitely a good buy.
Nice design and compact but light indicactor too strong July 25, 2008 Bliss 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Received speakers fews days ago. The sound seems very good for my basic needs such as skyping and watching videos. I will leave the detailed sound analysis for others. My only comment is that the light "on" bulb is a strong blue which interferes with the visualization of the screen. Basically when placed below monitor as designed I need cover light bulb with, say, a piece of cloth. I'll probably try to tape it. Otherwise I like speakers a lot.
Good Inexpensive Portable Speakers February 23, 2010 Que Tal Carolyn (Now living in Illinois, formerly on a boat in the Sea of Cortez) I wanted a pair of decent but inexpensive portable speakers. These fit the bill for me. I use them primarily on a porch in the summer, when we're having a fire in our outdoor firepit. We just want "background" music from the MP3 player -- I'm not trying to win a stereo war with the neighbors.
These are easy to move wherever we want (as long as there is a plug -- we didn't want cordless ones) and don't take up a lot of space.
I'm not an audiophile -- I just want something that sounds "decent" which to me means sounding as good as the factory radio/CD player in my car. These meet that standard.
They're nothing special, but they work for me for just a simple speaker for an MP3 player. I feel like we got our money's worth.
